Look who's walking!

Maddie is officially walking!!! She's been taking steps without help for the last couple months but still preferred crawling and would even shake her head NO if we mentioned the word, w-a-l-k. I was starting to wonder if she ever planned on walking. But now that she's taken off with it, she's quite proud of herself. When the words "so big" or "big girl" are uttered, she quickly raises her arms up high and wears a big smile. She's not the only one.

We will rock you!

I caught Jace with my I-pod the other day singing along to Queen...soooo c-u-t-e! For your viewing pleasure and Jace's embarrassment in about 10 years, I bring you "Rock you, Rock you!"

The second clip shows a bit of Maddie's sassy self, she really is becoming quite the stinker if her demands are not met. She's now graduated to queen of the house from her princess status, she truly "runs the roost" most of the time around here. Also, check out WHO rides in the babydoll stroller now, so much for the babydolly...

10 Months!

It's already that time again! Maddie turned 10 months old today! Time is sure zipping by and these milestones are coming quicker than we're ready for. She's officially crawling in the right direction now and is enjoying her new mobility. She's trying to pull-up on everything in site, including the toilet this morning (with the seat & lid up, gross). Yikes, think it's time to baby proof!?! Her 2 favorite places to crawl to: the boys bedroom and the bathroom. Now if I can only get her to eat more...she's only been taking between 18-22 oz. a day this past week. Good thing for 28 cal. formula. She is feeling much better, just hope her appetite picks up...especially since she's burning more calories with her crawling adventures!

Maddie...

• is 9 months old!
• loves to rock on all fours
• just started crawling backwards
• rolls where she wants to go
• has 2 bottom teeth
• yells "AHHH" super loud to get our attention
• says "ma ma", "da da", "ba ba"
• is a little shy and hides her face to others
• thinks her brothers are so funny!

Our little Halloween babe... She's learning how to jump in her Jumperoo (a stationary Johnny Jump-up) but she looks more like a clogger in it to me. Riverdance try-outs, here we come! I also think her foof now looks like a halo! God definitely sent us a little angel. We're looking forward to a "frighteningly fun" week of Halloween parties and trick-or-treating. The kids (and I) can hardly wait!

Maddie's Heart Journey Video

I'm so looking forward to the blood drive today. It sounds like we're getting a great turnout! This will be Maddie's debut too...there are still some who haven't gotten to "meet" her yet in person! She was in the newspapers this week, which was a fun way to spread the word about the blood drive. The write-ups were great! Here's the DVD that will be playing at the blood drive today. It showcases Maddie's heart journey as well as her little heart buddies. So for those who cannot attend the blood drive today, you can be with us in spirit this way! Just push play and enjoy. It was fun to make and I was inspired by some other heart videos I've seen on blogs. Thanks to those who have helped organize, baked cookies, and are planning to give blood today! Chatty Maddie

She's back to her normal self plus a little more I'd say! Maddie has been chatting up a storm lately...she loves her voice! This is probably my favorite milestone so far because her little personality is starting to shine. She even surprises herself with some of those sounds she makes! I know she's having a good time when she starts "helicoptering" with her arms and legs, and the coos keep getting louder! Here's a short clip of her, chatting to the lights on her swing. Here are the three amigos...ready to head outside for some splashing around in their wading pool. Our summer has finally arrived...it's currently 101 degrees out there!

Fun in the $4.99 kiddie pool... It's lasted 3 days! Whoo-hoo!


BTW- Our little friend Natalie is doing awesome after her surgery! We're so thrilled for her and her family, this also gives us much encouragement as we get closer to the Glenn. Way to go, Natalie...you little superstar!
