We had our appointment with our Cardiologist yesterday and Maddie is doing awesome!!! We couldn't be happier. She gained 9 oz. in 10 days...up to 6 lbs 13 oz now and she's officially on the growth chart! It's hilarious because her growth curve is a vertical line...no gradual curve there! Her echo cardiogram was beautiful, her heart is functioning and looking like it's supposed to right now. The sonographer got great pics, Maddie slept through the entire thing. She also had an EKG and overall check-up. We're just so thankful that everything is going great. Her NG tube is currently out, we're on day 3 without it now, and we only will put it back in if needed. So far, so good...she's finishing all her feeds by bottle! She's a super girl!
Super girl's mom is a little jumpy though...I woke up Tuesday morning (2 am) with her, panicked that she was getting a cold! She sounded "stuffy". Let's just say I was a bit of an alarmist...she's doing just fine, no cold is transpiring. So, we're still planning to keep her "isolated" for the next few months (like 6 months) until she gets her next surgery. We DO NOT want a setback and getting her sick would be a big one. So, we're enjoying our quiet life here at home!

That is awesome news Katie. She is doing so well. Keep up the good work. It will be nice with summer coming--you won't be at home during depressing weather.
